Access Questions
How do I log in to the Gesher Galicia website?
Click on the Log in button. You will be prompted to enter your email address or Username, then your password.
How do I access the Members Portal?
Once logged in to the website, click on the Members Portal button on the home page.
What if I forgot my Username?
You can sign in using your email address instead.
What if I don’t remember my password?
Click on “Forgot password?” on the login page. You will be prompted for your email address to receive an email link to create a new password. If you don’t get an immediate reply, see “Why am I not receiving expected emails?”
Why am I not receiving expected emails?
There are a number of reasons you might not be receiving expected emails.
- Emails may be ending up in your spam, junk mail, promotions, social or archive folders. Mark “safe” all emails coming from @geshergalicia.org.
- The email address we have is incorrect or mistyped. If needed, please see FAQ “How do I change my email address” under section “Updating Your Account.”
- If you still have an email problem, please send an email to membership@geshergalicia.org.
Renewing Membership
Where can I find my current membership status?
When logged in, visit the “Your Membership” page. Your latest membership can have a status as follows:
- Active (paid member)
- Pending (payment in progress)
- Expired (not yet renewed)
How do I renew my paid membership to gain access to the Members Portal?
When logged in, visit “Your Account” from the top navigation bar, then click the “Renew or Rejoin” button. You can then follow instructions to select how you would like to receive the Galitzianer, then complete the additional steps to make your payment.
How do I renew my organizational subscription to the Galitzianer?
When logged in, visit “Your Account” from the navigation bar, then click the “Renew/Rejoin” button. You can then follow instructions to choose “Organization” and proceed to make your payment. You will receive an email confirmation.
Why am I getting the message “It is too soon to renew your subscription?”
Your already have paid your membership dues or subscription through the year. You will receive a notice when your membership or subscription is getting close to expiring. You will have time to renew in order to continue your membership or subscription uninterrupted.
How can I resolve a “You already have a pending payment” message?
A membership status is “pending” if a payment has not been received by Gesher Galicia. This can be due to: 1) Your check has not yet arrived and been deposited. 2) An online credit card / PayPal payment was not completed or failed. If you need assistance, please send an email to membership@geshergalicia.org.

Joining Gesher Galicia
What are the benefits of individual membership to Gesher Galicia?

How do I join Gesher Galicia and gain access to the Members Portal?
Click on the “Join Gesher Galicia” button. Follow on screen instructions to register your account, followed by selecting your membership plan and making your payment.
How does my organization obtain a subscription to the Galitzianer?
Click on “Join Gesher Galicia” button to register your organization. Organizations can elect to receive a one-year print subscription to the Galitzianer and renew when the subscription expires. Proceed to make your payment by check or credit card/PayPal.”
How do I renew my organizational subscription to the Galitzianer?
When logged in, visit “Your Account/RENEW” from the navigation bar, then click the “MANAGE YOUR MEMBERSHIP/RENEW” button. You can then follow instructions to choose “Organization” and proceed to make your payment. You will receive an email confirmation.
Can members of my organization have access to Gesher Galicia’s archive of back issues of the Galitzianer?
No. Organizations do not have access to the Members Portal where all published issues of the Galitzianer are located. Interested members of your organization will need to become individual members of Gesher Galicia in order to access the Galitzianer and other member benefits.
Is an email confirmation provided after registration?
Yes, you will receive an email with the subject “Your account has been created.” If necessary, see FAQ “Why am I not receiving expected emails?” under “Access Questions.”
Selecting Membership Options
What are my membership options?
When you begin the process to join or renew, follow the onscreen instructions to select:
- How you wish to receive the Galitzianer—electronic or mailed.
- One-, two- or three-year membership.
- Payment method (check or credit card/PayPal).

Making Donations
How can I make a donation to Gesher Galicia?
Please visit the “Donate” page.
Are email confirmations provided for donations?
Yes, once your donation payment is processed you will receive an email with the subject “Thank you for your donation to Gesher Galicia.” If necessary, see FAQ “Why am I not receiving expected emails?” under “Access Questions.”
Are donations to Gesher Galicia tax exempt?
Gesher Galicia is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Your donation may qualify for an income tax deduction in accordance with Federal and/or State income tax laws. Please consult with your tax advisor to determine whether your donation is tax deductible in whole or in part. Nothing in this communication is intended to constitute legal or tax advice.
Processing Payments
Do I need a PayPal account to make a credit card payment?
No, you don’t need a PayPal account. PayPal allows you to pay with a debit or credit card as well as with a PayPal account. Please follow their instructions on the initial PayPal page.
Can I make a payment by check?
Yes. Select “Check” as your payment method, then follow instructions to download a form to mail with your check. Both are mailed to the address on the membership form.

Does PayPal send email confirmations?
Yes, PayPal will send an email confirmation to both you and Gesher Galicia.
Why do I have a pending status for my payment?
A membership status is “pending” if a payment has not been received by Gesher Galicia. This can be due to:

Changing Account Information
Where can I view my account information?
While logged in, visit “Your Account” from the navigation menu. Under “Change Account Information,” you may view your Email Address, Password and/or Address/Phone in our system.
How do I change my email address?
Log in, visit “Your Account” from the navigation bar, then click “Email Address” to follow instructions. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address currently on file.
Can I create a new password for my account?
Yes, if you are already signed in, visit “Your Account” from the navigation bar, then click “Change Password” and follow instructions. An online confirmation will be displayed.
How do I update my contact information?
Visit “Your Account” from the top navigation bar, then click “Change address/phone” and follow instructions. An online confirmation will be displayed.
